WARRANTY AND RETURNS
At Marine Freak we understand that having a well sorted returns policy is important to all people shopping online. We appreciate the limitations that are placed on consumers when they decide to shop online as you forfeit the ability to touch and feel the products before purchasing.
With this in mind we have developed a returns policy which we feel will satisfy even the fussiest of shopper.
SECTION 1 – CHANGE OF MIND
Marine Freak offer a genuine 100% satisfaction guarantee, if you are not completely happy with your purchase for whatever reason, simply contact us within 30 days to arrange a return. Returns need to be accompanied with an original receipt and it is essential that as the items are not faulty, they MUST be returned in original packaging complete and in unused condition including any documentation supplied with your purchase.
SECTION 2 – WARRANTY
All Marine Freak products come with a minimum 12 months warranty unless otherwise stated subject to normal wear and tear. Many products will come with a much longer warranty so please check the packaging or paperwork provided with your purchase. In the event of a warranty claim, should the fault be deemed a major one, you will have the choice of your product being either replaced, given a refund or given a store credit. For minor faults Marine Freak may offer you a repair or replacement.
SECTION 3 – RETURNS PROCEDURE
Please contact us by email at email@example.com to get your return underway. Please do not return goods without first contacting us.
In your email please provide us with an explanation of your issues and what would be the best outcome to suit you. Once we have received your email we will email you an authority to return slip along with postage instructions for returning your item to us.
NOTE: All returns require an authority to return slip generated by us, this ensures your item is logged in our system and looked after APSP without being misplaced.
Once your return is received and inspected (usually within 1 working day of arriving) we will email or phone you to let you know your options.
Should issues be obvious and clearly warrant a replacement or refund, we will initiate the process immediately. Often returned items are inspected and replacements dispatched within 24 hours.
In some circumstances items may require returning to the manufacturer, in this case Marine Freak will forward the item for you and ensure your claim is completed ASAP. When a warranty claim is approved Marine Freak will happily reimburse all freight charges providing all our instructions are followed correctly.
Should a refund be warranted, this shall be done by either a credit applied to your original method of payment or a credit registered on our system whichever you choose. We will also email you a returns receipt with all the details of the refunded transaction.
SECTION 4 – EXCLUSIONS
Please understand several types of goods are exempt from being returned unless you are claiming that they are unfit for purpose or not of merchantable quality. Items cut to length e.g. rope and cable, books and digital media, or any special order cannot be returned as a change of mind.
Furthermore, unfortunately for liability reasons we cannot accept returns of some items. Goods that have been sealed for hygiene reasons like creams and lotions or opened first aid equipment, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids and gases may not be returned as their integrity for resale cannot be assured. This includes Flares and self-inflating life jackets removed from their packaging.
Marine Freak do not warrant any product against incorrect use or abuse, issues arising from incorrect installation or issues arising from inadequate maintenance.
SECTION 5 – LEGAL
Marine Freak aims to operate in full compliance with Australian Consumer Law.
